Police in Kampala have arrested Clinton Mwesiime, a clinical officer at Hamurwa Health Centre IV in Rubanda district, after he shockingly confessed to murder during a church service. Mwesiime admitted to killing 45-year-old Leonada Kobusingye, whose body was discovered on July 30 in a lodge room at Cheers Pub, Kabale Municipality.

Investigations revealed that Kobusingye had checked into the room with a man who registered under the name "Julius." She was later found dead with multiple stab wounds, alongside a knife and an unused HIV/syphilis test kit. This evidence raised suspicions that the crime was linked to health and relationship issues.

According to police sources, Mwesiime told investigators that he killed Kobusingye after a heated dispute involving pregnancy and marriage. He reportedly feared being mocked for marrying an older woman and reacted angrily upon discovering she was HIV positive. Mwesiime has since been handed over to police by his pastor and is expected to face murder charges.
